My doctor keeps talking about inducing my labor…I’m 37 weeks and will be 38 weeks on Monday. I was wondering if she decides to do it, how far off will she schedule it? I’m having an ultrasound done on Tuesday to check the babys weight and the amniotic fluid index. Then i go to her on Thursday. But If theres something wrong with the ultrasound, how far off will she set the induction for?

Just curious, im full term and was looking for natural ways to induce labor. Been stuck at 2cm dilation (70% effaced) for over a week now. I bought primrose oil today and swallowed 2 capsules (recomended dose) and inserted one vaginally also. Just wondering if this is safe to take, as long as you dont overdose? And has anyone else used it before? I know it dosnt actually induce labor but it helps ripen the cervix.
I CANNOT have sex. Because im not able to see my bf until i go into labor( he lives in a different town). So thats why im taking this so that it can help ripen my cervixc much like semen does.

How can I convince my doctor to induce my labor? I am 37 almost 38 weeks along and in such misery that I cna’t stand it any moreI’ve been miserable since day one with morning sickness, then panic attacks, then back pain, and now stomach cramping. I can’t stand it. I can’t sleep, I can’t breath, I can’t hardly eat because everything gives me such bad heartburn that it makes me want to throw up. I have a doctor’s appt this morning what can I say to him to convince him to help me along. I just honestly can’t do this anymore.

Ok, I’m starting to think some guy made this up and that’s how this old myth got started. I keep reading that it may help to induce labor, but has it actually worked for any of you? Just curious. I’ve still got 3+ weeks left until my due date, so I’m not too desperate this time; especially with this being my second kid, holiday stuff, preparing the baby’s room, etc…Not desperate YET anyway, but I sure am getting pretty miserable.

I have heard that getting medically induced will delay your delivery and making your labor longer? Does anyone else experience or hear this? Do you know if its true?

Im ready to have this baby and I want to start trying natural ways to induce my labor…does anyone have any good suggestions that worked for them? I know of all the different ways…i dont need to know that..just want to know what actualy worked and what didnt. Thanks
