I am 39 weeks pregnant and apparently my baby is almost 9lbs. My midwife told me to start using Evening Primrose Oil and raspberry leaf tea to naturally induce my labour as i have tried sex, spicy food and long walks and those dont seem to work.
Has anyone else tried these 2 methods and if so what was the out come??

Has anyone ever tried Reflexology treatments to induce labour?
If so did it work and how many treatments did you have?
I am not due to November 14th but my dates are November 4th and I am measuring near my dates also.
As you can tell I am getting proper fed up and uncomfortable!

I’m just wondering what it does to the body that could start labor.

My doctor said if I don’t go into labor this week he will induce me next week. I don’t want to be induced what are some natural ways to induce labor. No castor oil my doctor said that isn’t safe. Or anything that would give me the runs. And no, oh nothing will make you go into labor stuff, I understand its not likely but it cant hurt to try when im sitting around doing nothing waiting for labor right?

Im 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My husband is in the air force and only home on leave until tuesday. The doctor said he wont induce me for at least another week and at that point my husband will be gone. We really want him to be able to be here for the birth. Its all I want. I cant handle him not being there for the birth of our first child. My question is are there any natural ways that have seemed to work for others to induce labor?

I’ve never tried it…but I have done a lot of research and have read a lot of mixed reviews. For the women who have tried it, what was your experience? Did it work? Do you feel it was worth it?
Thanks
I have not tried it, nor will I. I am only getting peoples views on using this method. I am still curious though if anyone out there has actually tried it and had a semi pleasant outcome.

well i’ve been having contractions since saturday, they are still kinda mild but getting stronger – anyway someone told me about evening primrose oil last night to get labour kick started.. i’m gonna try taking the capsules orally first – i’ve taken one already and gonna take another one in a few hours, and then i’m gonna use it like a pessary tonight before i go to sleep.. so did it work for you if you tried it?
how best did it work for you? did it work if you took it orally? or did it only work when you used it vaginally like a pessary?
i’m really hoping this is gonna work for me as i am increasing discomfort/pain just lately and these cramps are slowly getting worse but its just taking too long…!
