First let me say that my dr has given me the go ahead for trying some home remedies. i have done a little research on this and i do know that this WON’T induce you but just helps soften the cervix. How long should it take though ? I have a gel tab that is 1300 mg and one is to be taken a day. I was going to use them as a vaginal supository assuming that would work the best. Does anyone have details on this herb or any advice to give? any thoughts welcome

I have been 2cm dilated for over two weeks now. I am continuously having braxton hicks. My friend told me to have sex or use castor oil. I couldn’t down the castor oil so I am willing to try the sex. I want to know how long after will I go into labor or will I continue to have braxton hicks? Please help.

I know that babies come when they are good and ready, before everyone says it!
But has anyone tried any of the natural ways to induce labour – e.g. walking, sex, pineapple, nipple stimulation, curry, acupuncture, reflexology – and feel they actually worked?
Just interested to know!

I just came across this – I had no idea it could possibly induce labor. I read that only fresh pineapple will work and last week I had bought one and eaten the whole thing within a week and I didn’t go into labor. I’m not sure that I believe that any of the natural induction methods actually work – I think the baby will come when it’s ready and people just happen to do these things right before baby is supposed to come anyway. Anyone know anything about the pineapple? Do you think it worked for you?

Has anyone tried inducing their own labor…or speed up the process? What home remedies did you use and did they at least seem to work? I am extremely close to 40 weeks and my boy is going crazy in there…however no luck on "actual" labor yet.
i havent actually tried anything yet…but i dont think i have the energy to walk up&down stairs for 2 hours. i just wish he’d hurry up.lol. it wouldnt be so bad if he wouldnt kick off my ribs just to smash into my pelvic bone.lol

I have not dilated any, baby is down, I am having period like craps, lots of swelling in my feet and I am very tired. My blood pressure is perfect and the baby is very big and healthy. I am a very small person and I am finding it harder and harder to move or do anything. PLEASE offer me some advise or ANYTHING.. i know that 3 weeks is not long but I would LOVE to help my lil man in the process. He seems to love being in me!! I want my baby OUT..
also my doctor said I do not have toximia or preclamp…
