So, I had false labor yesterday and now Im even more anxious to get this baby out! Im 40 weeks + 1 day. When I went to the hospital and was hooked up to the monitor I was having contractions they just werent strong enough to help me progress. Well, I was wondering if anyone knows how to do any of the acupressure points to induce labor. Ive heard that the "hoku" point on your webbing between your thumb and forefinger is a good point to do it on, but I don’t really know how to do it. If anyone could give me some kind of help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

i am now overdue and i am 1cm dialiated and thinning out (i have been that way for about 1 1/2 months) and i also have NOT had any contractions not even Braxton hicks…where i live they will not induce me until i am 10-14 days overdue and im not close to that. I am in tons of pain everyday with severe back pain that started recently to the point where i cant move at times, which is why im trying to naturally induce my labor…i heard that pineapple and evening primrose oil will help with naturally inducing labor.
is that true?
has it worked for anyone?
how should i take it?
also i heard that castrol oil helps to…
what is the recommended dose of castrol oil to take?
has it worked for anyone on here?
please no rude answers, i would not be trying to naturally induce labor if my back didnt hurt so bad….i will report rude answers…
thankyou to all

so far, i’ve tried acupressure & orgasms. all i’ve gotten from that are cramping and a headache. =( i’m going to try nipple stimulation later with a hot cloth, i hope that works..
what other ways can i try? i won’t take castor oil & i’m going to try the raspberry leaf tea tomorrow. any other suggestions?
i’m not asking for people to critisize me on MY decision to try and induce labour. my stomach is measuring 4 weeks ahead and my doctor says he’s already about 8 pounds. i don’t want a c-section, and if he stays in there any longer, i’ll probably need one. (they do c-sections at 10 pounds.) is that a good enough reason?

Has anyone tried inducing their own labor…or speed up the process? What home remedies did you use and did they at least seem to work? I am extremely close to 40 weeks and my boy is going crazy in there…however no luck on "actual" labor yet.
i havent actually tried anything yet…but i dont think i have the energy to walk up&down stairs for 2 hours. i just wish he’d hurry up.lol. it wouldnt be so bad if he wouldnt kick off my ribs just to smash into my pelvic bone.lol
