40 weeks how do I induce labor at home?

how do I induce labor at 40 weeks pregnant

I am 9 months pregnant and due this week. I read that getting a foot massage helps induce labor if the pressure points are being massaged. But I am worried that the baby might change position (the head turning upwards instead of being downwards). My friend warned me and told me that this happened to her sister. Could it be that it happened because of something else and not the foot massage?

I have been reading about natural induction methods for women who are past their due date, and came across herbal teas, and the cinnamon tea sounded good to me, research show it worked better than raspberry leaf and seems more easy to obtain.

Has anyone had success with this certain tea?

i am now overdue and i am 1cm dialiated and thinning out (i have been that way for about 1 1/2 months) and i also have NOT had any contractions not even Braxton hicks…where i live they will not induce me until i am 10-14 days overdue and im not close to that. I am in tons of pain everyday with severe back pain that started recently to the point where i cant move at times, which is why im trying to naturally induce my labor…i heard that pineapple and evening primrose oil will help with naturally inducing labor.
is that true?
has it worked for anyone?
how should i take it?
also i heard that castrol oil helps to…
what is the recommended dose of castrol oil to take?
has it worked for anyone on here?

please no rude answers, i would not be trying to naturally induce labor if my back didnt hurt so bad….i will report rude answers…

thankyou to all

I’m having some irregular, not very strong contractions (for almost 4 days now!) I got the OK to start doing whatever to get him here, as she expects him within the week! (That or induction the 14th because of the contractions.)

So, besides walking, sex (out of the question as its just me) and nipple stimulation, what else can help regulate and intensify contractions?
Actually I’ll only be 38 weeks when she wants to induce.

I’ve been having a few problems, and she doesn’t think it’d be good for both of us to wait to 40.

Just wondering??..

I just turned 37 weeks and my doctor told me I am 2cm dilated, but I have been this way for about a week and it’s driving me crazy. What can I do to induce my labor.?

I’m 38.5 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Is it a bad idea to deliver now or should I wait until bubs is 100% ready? I have had some mild BH contractions but that’s about it, no bloody show and I have only dropped slightly. I have a feeling that bubs isn’t in any hurry to come out and I don’t want to wait until past 40 weeks to deliver. What should I do?

How can I induce labour at home?
