I’ve read that semen helps to soften the cervix to help start labor. So does your partner have to ejaculate inside you in order for sex to be effective in helping to start labor? Or are there other reasons that sex is good to help start labor?

How can I induce labor on my own? Im not dilated any but i want to speed up the process sooner, even though i only have 2 more weeks left i still cant wait

The fetus is full-term.

I am 40 weeks and 6 days, and being induced tomorrow, but would much rather use herbs than drugs.
i dont believe i mentioned more than one dose. and i know all the different things i CAN do, that did not work. i also am aware it is safe to go another week, but my doctor believes otherwise. if you are not going to respond to my question with the answer, please do not respond.
yesterday i was a cm dilated and had a membrane sweep. i lost my mucus plug later that night.

Have u done nipple stimulation to start your labor? did it work for you? and how long did it take to be effective? Im not even close to my delivery date but im just curious…thanks

I wanted to know if this works or not. I will be induced next week 37 weeks by my dr but i am ready now. i am 36 weeks and have been dilated 2 centimeter for 5 weeks. My specialist said to go home and get things going with sex and such. i have been walking and doing light work outs but i want to hurry this along. I have contractions but not constant. I want to know if i take some Castor Oil if it will work and how fast will i go into full labor. who out there has tried this and did it work for you?

How far along were you?
Did you lose your mucous plug before hand?
Did it start off with braxton hicks or did it start off painful?
How many minutes apart were your contractions in the beginning?
Did you feel any *different* before going into labor?
