how long does it take to kick in and go into labor? i hear it works and i know people who have done it.
and dont say its bad cause the label says kids van take it.

I am 39 weeks pregnant and one cm dilated. I’ve tried EVERYTHING to induce my own labor, but nothing has worked… I’m exhausted and miserable and still get morning sickness. I’m just done with being pregnant and I want to meet my baby already…

Is there anything I could say to my doctor that would make her want to induce me???

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and 2-3cm dilated with on and off braxton hicks contractions and loss of mucus plug. This is my 5th baby. I’m just curious as to how other people’s pre-labor and active labor progressed. How was yours?

I am 38 weeks prego, went to L&D on the 15th with false labor that lasted for ten hours, my contractions were 2 minutes apart. They did not induce because I was only at 3cm with no progression. Well had a doctors app. yesterday and he told me the same that I am at 3cm my cervix is soft but thick!!!
So annoying…
He told me that I could take Evening Primerose Oil, but didn’t tell me how to use it and how much to take. So I got on the internet and research it. Last night I put three capsules inside my vagina two I put holes in and the third I just let it absorb. This morning I woke up and took two orally.
So my question is has anyone had success with this? and How much longer do YOU think I will be in labor?

i tried it the 1st pregnancy and baby had meconium staining.
i dont think it does… are there any people out there that it did work for?

Have any of you had one drug-induced labor (using petosin)? What was it like?

If you’ve had a drug-induced labor and a labor that was brought on naturally without drugs, did you notice a difference?

The doctor wants to induce me if I don’t go into labor by my due date because he’s afraid of pre-eclampsia. I’m really healthy so far, but the history of high blood pressure means they don’t want to take any chances.

What should I do?

I am trying to induce my labor (I’m due in six days and would like to just get it over with at this point), and I am giving nipple stimulation a try. Should it be uncomfortable? I am definitely not getting any sort of sexual enjoyment out of it, but my nipples are getting pretty tender (I have been doing every other nipple, every hour, for five minutes). I am massaging the entire nipple and areola as gently as I can, but they are still getting pretty sensitive.
Look, I appreciate it that people are concerned, but the fact is that I am so incapacitated by back pain that it is starting to interfere with my ability to be a fit parent to my son. We’re talking I can barely walk, sleep, etc. I am not looking to do anything that would be unnatural; I am just looking at my options, because it is not fair to my son for me to be like this. I am well aware that my daughter will come when she is ready, so please don’t remind me of that any more. I posted this question so that people could gve me input on a spacific subject, not so people could bash me and my parenting skills.
