I am 37 long weeks pregnant, and I have been having some very painful braxton hicks contractions. my whole body hurts and its so hard for me to move around all of my round ligaments are hurting when I move and my pelvic bone feels like its gonna break! the baby dropped like three weeks ago and I am so so miserable! with my first so I had to be induced because I was two weeks overdue! my first pregnancy wasn’t nearly this bad! I have had so many problems! so I just wanted some other peoples personal opinion about weather or not I should try to induce with castor oil. please no rude answers it would be greatly appreciated!

I just went to the doc today I am 37 weeks and 4cm dilated I am just wondering if there is a certain point of being dilated that you start labor…like once you hit 5cm you go into labor or something?!

My water broke at 4cm with my 1st son.

I am going to walk walk walk tonight! my doc said everything is good, baby is in position and there are no risks if I were to have him TODAY!

I’m pregnant with my second child, and have had enormous pressure for the past week or so. Yesterday, I thought my water broke, then had contractions regularly 20 – 15 -10 min. apart for 6 hours. FInally, I went to the hospital to get checked, but was only a 1 still, and the paper they use to check for amniotic fluid showed only a spot of blue. They said they didn’t think my water broke, since they couldn’t get more of it to turn blue. Then my contractions got weaker and slowed down. They had me walk for an hour, and then my contractions came back just as strong, checked me, and I was a 2. Since my contractions didn’t get any stronger, they had me leave, but told me just to keep walking. This morning, my contractions have stopped, but the pressure and aching pain in my pelvis is still present. I don’t see my dr. again until the end of the week, does this mean I was in labor but it stalled? Does anyone have a similar story? What happened and how soon did you have your baby?

My husband is starting a new job two weeks after my due date, I don’t want to risk being late and having no insurance during those two weeks. Can I request to be induced so that won’t be a problem?

I have my reasons for trying it and it was suggested by my doctor since im past my due date. I know what is does but can anyone tell me there experiences if it worked for them??

iv done alot of walking again today.. and now my back is killing me!!
and just went to the loo and got real sharp shooting pains down there.. and when i sat down! is that the baby engaging even more ..

My daughter was told by some people that by the doctor having to induce her labor that it will be worse than if she could have done it without being induced.

So what are some non-risky ways to induce labor at home that ACTUALLY work?

Ive heard about lots of walking and also lots of sex.. Anything else?
