An official date has been set for the new arrival (November 9th). My doctor told me to arrive at the hospital the night before. During the night they’ll be administering a pill inside which will soften my cervix and then I will be put on a Pitocin drip early morning on the 9th. I want this to happen, I’m just a bit nervous as this is my first child and I don’t know what to expect with my labor being induced. I would love to hear experiences or advice from other women who have had their labor induced. I need the comfort…

ok, so im 3 days away from my due date, and i was supposed to be induced today, but my midwife quit and now in screwed and they dont know when they can get me into the hospital. she believes my due date is off, and was surprised that i havet gone into labor yet. im so miserable and on the brink of a mental break down. any good ideas to help me induce this labor myself would be amazing. thank you so much.

What did you attempt to do in order to induce labor?
I’m really curious.
There’s a lot of women out there that swear nothing will help the labor progress… it will just happen when it happens. And then there are those that swear by a certain method of self induction.
So what did you do? And did it work? Would you do it again?
This is all just for fun.
Oh, I’m aware of a lot of the different types of method’s women use to induce their own labor. I tried many with my previous pregnancy. Sex, walking, acupressure, nipple stimulation, my doctor stripped my membranes for me, i even ate tons of pineapple (it was a craving i had throughout my pregnancy actually and didnt find out that it was one of the ways women tried to induce their own labor until the very end of my pregnancy lol…). The thing that seemed to do the trick was when i took castor oil though.
