Can you share your experiences on inducing labor?

I have been taking 10-15 drops of black cohosh tincture under the tounge every hour for 5 hours. I am ONLY trying to ripen my cervix, NOT induce labor. Has anyone else tried this and had success??? I dont feel anything happening, and there has been no "show", so I am just curious if I am torturing myself (it tastes aweful!) for nothing.

I am fully aware of the supposed dangers of BLUE cohosh, and do not need a lesson…please keep it to yourself.
is there a reason that you are assuming my doctor DIDN’T recommend it???? I am very responsible, as this is to avoid a c-section. I am going to have an induction in a few days, and it has been proven that if the cervix is not favorable, the induction will fail.
I AM ASKING IF ANYONE HAS HAD SUCCESS WITH BLACK COHOSH!!! I AM NOT ASKING ABOUT THE DANGERS OF THE TINCTURE!

My nurse mentioned it today saying she had a patient who swore by it, so when I got home I looked it up in What to Expect When You’re Expecting and there was a note about it saying not to drink it until your due date because it can cause contractions. Has anyone used this method?

What part of sex helps? I have always heard about sex helping, but not how. Is it the penetration? Orgasm? The motions?

My due date was about a week ago (Nov. 3). I have another doctor’s appointment for Monday, the 13th. If I don’t give birth this weekend before my appointment, can I ask my doctor to induce labor? I’m in a lot of pain.
At my last appointment earlier this week, I was already 3 cm dialated… so I must be on my way. This baby is killing me! I just want her OUT.
