im 40 weeks already…share your stories on things that worked or things that didnt or just things that you’ve heard of…plz

I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant & because my baby is expected to be a large size my doctor wants to medically induce me but id rather try naturally to go into labor before my induction & i seen on websites about acupressure & acupuncture & i just wanted to know how accurate it is on helping induce labor. Also where the spots are, how to do it & just for how long! ANY [RESPECTFUL ON TOPIC] INPUT WILL BE GREATFULLY APPRECIATED!

I was having contractions 4 minutes apart on Sunday so I went to the hospital, they kept me for 10 hours I dialted to 4cm but then they told me that they wouldnt induce me because I was only 38 weeks and gave me morphine to stop the contractions and I went home and they havent come back since. I have a check up today, what are the chances of being like 5 or 6 when the doc checks me, what will they do, send me to the hospital or nothing since my water hasnt broken?? This is my first and I am so anxious, my son is healthy and big so i know he is ok, I just want him to make an appearance. Anyone have this happen to them and what was the outcome. Will I walk around like this for 2 more weeks!

I am 41 weeks+2 days pregnant and my cervix was said to be 0% effaced+dilated on Thurday after a failed Membrane sweep because the MW couldn’t reach it. But since then I’ve noticed twice that when I wipe there is literally MUCUS on the tissue…just like when you have a cold but it is lightly orange colored with a bit of blood in. Does this mean I am losing my MP and having a BS ? Does that make labor imminent?
Oh and I’ve also been having period like twisting, cramping pains at the bottom of my tummy lasting 35 seconds or so and coming every 5, 6, 8 and sometimes 15 minutes and etc. But I went to sleep and they havent come since waking up and I’ve had them for 3 days…

can u drink castor oil to induce labor? Is it safe? And should u do it after 34 weeks? 37 weeks? when? Does it really work?

Any other "old wives tales" or anything except sex that can help induce labor? Before you freak out, I’m more than ready to go, my doctor even wants me to go! I’m just not willing to do anything extreme! My contractions are like 4minutes apart but not painful. Any ways of helping them along?

What can i do to start labor, or contractions or just something!! I am several weeks over due and am so incredibly miserable!!!!…:( When i went for my very first appointment i explained to the nurse that i did not have a period for two months.. I told her i was so busy in my day to day activities i somehow didn’t even notice it.. I actually found out i was pregnant when i noticed that i was showing. I have a two year old so i knew as soon as i noticed the baby bump that that was exactly what it was and i took a test and sure enough i was pregnant. My husband and i were thrilled! however, no matter how many times i explained this to my nurse she didn’t seam to either believe me or want to except that my last period that i had was at the end of july ( my first apt. with the doc was in the middle of sept.) so she kept pushing and saying are you sure u didn’t have one in august?? and i was of course irritated and offended by her not taking my actual last menstrual cycles and using it so i told her possibly and she wrote down my last period to be in August. (not true in the least!) I explained this situation to my doctor once i saw him and he didn’t seam worried about it and said he would address it when time came closer. well here i am two weeks from my due date that was based on an August period that i NEVER had and my doc. is planning on me just having my baby on that due date DESPITE the fact that my last actual period was at the end of July!! meaning that my ACTUAL due date was SEVERAL weeks ago therefor i am VERY MUCH over due!! I have never been SO miserable in my entire life…. i no the drill and iv heard it countless times "baby will come when he/she is ready" well apparently not all the time because he should have came several weeks ago and i am so big and so uncomfortable that i literally have difficulty with take full breaths! i can not move… LITERALLY!! There is no way i can push myself to make it any longer especially knowing that im already way over my actual due date and should have already had my baby.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!:(

My vet told me that I may want to try and naturally kick-start my mare’s labor because the baby is so large and this is her first foal. The only thing is that he neglected to tell me how to do this? I have tried walking her and stuff but to no avail. Any suggestions?
The vet did a rectal exam and actually perfomed an ultrasound via abdomen and that is how he concluded that the baby is very large

hey how come wen some ppl ask how they can induce labour do ppl say not to try castor oil?????
also is eating pineapple a way to induce labour ???

I am 35 weeks pregnant and was told my mucus plug has came out, I am having contractions and I want to wait til my water breaks to go to Labor and Delivery. So how much longer should it be til my water breaks.
