Okay so besides castor oil, I want a list of all the 'remedies'?

Ways to Inducing Labor Naturally
Remedies to induce labor: Go!
I’m so frustrated, I’ve known baby is breech since 24 weeks. I’ll be 37 weeks on Friday. Here is everything I’ve tried:
Swimming in a pool
Doing headstands in a pool
Spinning Babies (it gives me a massive, excruciating headache)
Yoga poses
Being on all 4s (butt up in the air)
Walking
Moxibustion
Webster Technique
Talking to the baby
Hypnobabies (Turn your breech baby)
Belly massage
Cold peas on my tummy
As of lately I’ve even tried naturally inducing labor (sex, raspberry leaf tea, nipple stim) whenever I do see that he is head down
Really, there isn’t much left that I haven’t tried. I’ll meet with the OB tomorrow to consult (I’ve been seeing a midwife and was hoping for a natural waterbirth) for version/ECV and a possible vaginal breech delivery.
I’ve spent money money money and all kiddo does is flip flop around all the time. I don’t know how he is still moving all over the place, I’m 36.5 weeks!
I’m VERY FRUSTRATED and have finally reached the point where I want to give up. Hubby is tired of me spending money trying to get this kid to flip, I’m tired of the kid not flipping, I’m flipping fed up.
So it would be awesome if I could get some hope from moms who’ve been there done that and had their baby turn at the last minute.
And for those who’ve had a c-section and just want to reassure me that a c-section is fine, it isn’t fine with me on any level. I’m not ok with it and am doing everything in my power to avoid it. If it happens it happens but it won’t be because I didn’t bust my butt trying to avoid it. But please don’t tell me to just get a c-section, because that isn’t ok with me. They don’t call me "granola girl" for nothing.
Maria, I’m 36.5 weeks. Read.
Hiya.
Well I’m 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced as of Tuesday and my doctor doesn’t think I have much longer to go. She even said I might not make it to my u/s on Monday.
So if I’m going to be going into labor pretty soon I’d honestly rather have it happen sooner than later (due to Xmas, my 18 month old son and my hubby’s work schedule)
I was wondering if any of you naturally induced you labor or tried to. Tell me what did and didn’t work for you.
I’m 36 wks pregnant with twins and I’m very very uncomfortable. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’d like to add that I’ve been having somewhat painful contractions for a couple days now.
They are sporadic and unregular but they do hurt a little bit. I’m pretty sure it is an early labor phase. Just wanting to speed things up!
My Baby refuses to come out. He is 2 days late already. He dropped but I’m not dialated enough. I was told to take walks. I gave until thursday before they are going to physically induce labor. do u guys have any suggestions?
I’ve heard everywhere that it is one fairly popular method but I haven’t known anyone it actually worked for. Has any pregnant woman on here ever taken it and gone into labor after, or know of someone that has?
Please don’t answer if it did not work for you, thanks.
my sister wants to have this babyy she is 5 cm dialated and 70% effaced but nothing is happening she has lost her muceous plug but her water has not yet broke please help
she has been like this since wednesday and we live 30 plus minutes away from the hosipatal eveytime she starts having contractions by the time we het her the hosiptal shes not having anymore. she is 17 and 1st child she couldnt even feel when she was dilating until her cheek up when her doctor told her
I’m pregnant and I was told not to try to induce my labor till I was at least 37 weeks and I’m 39 weeks now. My doctor said the baby is done developing, and now all she is doing is gaining weight in there, and if she came out now she would be full term and perfectly fine. I’ve been having a lot of labor contractions. There just not close enough nor strong enough… I’m ready for this baby to be out, I’ve tried castor oil, walking, sex, raspberry tea, black cohosh, warm baths, more sex, stimulating my nipples, more sex and nothing. And my doctor won’t medically induce me till 42 weeks but I don’t want to wait till then. What else is there?
Hi I’m 38 weeks and 4 days and 4 days ago I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced, he’s been head down for the last month and he’s very large the doctors have said they are going to let me try for a vaginal birth, but that I’ll probably end up, having a c-section. They said when I go into labor if I don’t progress well, they won’t push me and I’ll have a c-section. And also that they aren’t going to let me go past 40 weeks.
But I was hoping if I went ahead and went into labor on now I may have better chance to have a vaginal birth. So I’ve been trying to induce, I won’t do the castor oil because I’ve heard it can be harmful to the baby. Yesterday, I tried sex in the morning followed by a 2 hour walk, followed by nipple stimulation. Then that evening my husband and I went on a 3 hour walk followed by more nipple stimulation.
And none of it seemed to help in fact I don’t think I had ever felt better, I felt like I could walk for days, without stopping and the only reason we stopped that night was because the mosquitoes were biting me like crazy so does anyone else have any ideas to help
My due date is July 29. My OB has scheduled an induction for the 28th. I asked why, and she told me that it is standard operating procedure for older mothers. I’m 40.
However, I’ve also done research and looked at all of the risk factors, and this has been a completely normal pregnancy – I’ve gained exactly the right amount of weight, gone to regular appointments, take my prenatal vitamins; I do not have diabetes or high blood pressure (in fact, it’s been very steady at 100 over 60 throughout).
It is starting to appear as if this is being scheduled for the convenience of the physicians, so they can induce labor, deliver the baby, and be home in time for dinner. If it weren’t for the downsides of induction, I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but an induction greatly increases the risk of having to have a C-section as well as the risk of both mother and infant contracting infections.
What to do?
Hey, everyone. At 34 and 3 days pregnant I was 3 cent. dilated, 50% effaced and baby was far back. I believe the baby "dropped" this week because I sometimes get sharp pains in my groin area when I am walking (so much that it is very hard for me to walk. It feels like the baby is moving his head around down there.) Plus, My pregnant bulge seems lower (more space between my breasts and my bulge). This is my 3rd pregnancy and I do go to the doctors tomorrow but can’t get all of this "activity" off my mind. Based on your experience and knowledge do you think "d" day is approaching? and if so, how soon? I will fill everyone in about my appt. tomorrow evening. Thank you!
Oh, to clarify, this is my 3rd pregnancy and I am currently 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant. It was a 11 days ago that I was 3 cent. dilated and 50% effaced. The Monday prior I was "almost 1 cent and maybe 10% effaced" Thanx
Well, I went to the docs and she said I am still 3cent. and 50%. She confirmed that the baby dropped and said that she could feel his head! She also said he was big, probably 7 lbs. already. She guessed my last babies weight by 1 ounce so I believe her. Oh, she also said I lost my mucous plug. The anticipation is killing me!
