how effective is cleaning when it comes to starting labor?

I’m pregnant for the first time and I’m due on the 19th. I can’t wait and I’m hoping it might come sooner. My doctor said my cervix was 1cm about 2 weeks ago, so how long does it take to start active labor at like 4cm?

What were you doing at the time that you said ‘this is it, we’re gonna be making a baby soon’

Just kinda curious to everyones experiences, plu did your water break first or how did the process go?

in due and if i have not went into labor by monday they are going to induce! i want it natural! please does anyone know anything i can do at home to get this thing on the road! ANYTHING?
O and last time i was at doc i was dialated to a 2.

Ladies, I was wondering how your labor started out. Like did it start with bh’s or did you have mild cramping and all of a sudden it got worse? Did your water break? Etc. Please share! I know every pregnancy is different but I would like to know what I can expect soon as I am 39 wks 3 days preg nd my due date is on fri the 27th.

im 39 weeks an 1 day pregnant and i heard you have to have a show before labour will start ?
is this right if so how soon after your show does labour start?

For the past three nights I’ve been having extremely painful contractions that are 50 seconds long coming every 10 to 15 minutes. I haven’t went to the hospital because they don’t get stronger or closer together and they only come at night. My stomach tightens up really hard & I get a gripping stabbing pain down in my pelvis. I have not slept at all because of this pain & I wake up so soar where I can barely make it to the bathroom. But during the day time all I feel is a dull crampy ache. How will I know when to go to the hospital. The pains I’m having now are very intense, but still no baby so they obviously aren’t true labor contractions. I’m considering going to the hospital tonight if they start up again, but I hate the idea of going up there just to be sent home.

I’m due tomorrow and havent really been feeling anything telling me im going to have my baby soon! I have extreme tiredness (not the energy rush everyone says they have!)

Did your labour start out of the blue or did it build up over days?

Im 37 weeks pregnant. I got checked a few days ago by my doctor and he said im about 2 cm dialated and 50 % effaced what can i do to natually induce my labor?
