Why are so many c sections done due to FTP? What if you aren’t having much cervical change but baby is doing perfectly fine?
I want to equip myself with knowledge in order to defend and avoid an UNnecessary c section due to "failure to progress."
And how does this relate to the baby "not dropping and or entering the pelvic cavity."
And lastly, can most of this be avoided by waiting for labor to occur spontaneously rather than being induced? And maybe labor at home as long as possible.
Thanks

40 weeks pregnant, going to be induced by the doctors at 41 weeks, but I would much rather try to bring it on without medical intervention next week. What are some home remedies that can help bring on labor? Tell me anything and everything!
@MISS PRISS
There are medical risks that can affect me and the baby, with being induced,
INCLUDING
Oxytocin can make labor contractions very strong and lower the baby’s heart rate. Throughout an induction, medical staff carefully monitor the baby’s heart rate. Adjusting the dosage of the drug can decrease the strength of the contractions and reduce the effect on the baby’s heart.
* Women who have inductions and their babies are at increased risk of infection.
* The baby may have problems with the umbilical cord. For example, the cord may slip into the vagina before the baby does. This is more likely to occur if the baby is breech (feet or bottom first, instead of head first). Also, the cord may be compressed, decreasing the baby’s oxygen supply. These problems can be serious for the baby.
* Sometimes treatment doesn’t work, and the woman has to have a cesarean delivery.
* Uterine rupture is a complication of induction. A rupture is a tear in the uterus. This can cause serious bleed

Did you use this to try and induce labor at home? How did it work out you for? Does anybody know the CORRECT way to go about doing this?? the ways they explain on the internet dont mean anything to me..
so if it worked for you.. how long did it take?
also if you used accupressure please give me some info on that.
if you know nothing about this or are just going to tell me not to do it..then dont answer.

I am 38 and a half weeks pregnant with baby number two, at my last appointment I was 2cms dialated and I am very ready to have this kiddo! I am a firm believer that babies need to cook for 40 weeks and would not want to do anything to rush baby if she isn’t ready however, because of several other things we have going on I am really trying to get the ball rolling here lol. I can’t take much time off of work this pregnancy and I would rather the time I do take off be AFTER the baby is born obviously but I am in such discomfort that I am finding myself calling in and about to take my maternity leave as of tomorrow wich means if baby doesn’t come soon…less time with baby
SOOOOO…Question is…..grapes give me diahreah if eaten in great quanities…..and thats what castor oil does (which I would NEVER drink) So if I eat a lot of grapes will I go into labor maybe? Any other home remedies? I tried sex and walking and honeslty I am in to much pain to do either lol.

I’m only 32 weeks pregnant, so I DO NOT plan on attempting to induce labor anytime soon, because I have a two year old already, and I know the risk of a baby being born too soon. Although when I get 37 weeks, if I don’t have the baby by then, I do want to try some "SAFE" ways to induce labor, sex, walking, squats, etc. The other night when I was looking up safe ways to induce labor at home, I read something about eating eggplant parmesan, that it all started at this italian resturant in GA. I seen reviews on there website, " eggplant babies", i think that’s what they called them, anyway it’s the women who ate the eggplant parmesan and swore by it, that it induced labor. I’m not near GA, however we go have a resturant in my hometown that serves eggplant parmesan, so i’m gonna try it, i figure hey if it doesn’t work, then i’ll get a good meal, right!? Anyway, to my question, rather it me a myth or fact of this working, what’s in it to cause someone to go into labor? The eggplant itself, the herbs? Thanks for reading!

I am pregnant with my 4th baby. With my other 3 I didn’t go into active labor on my own. I dilated to about 2 cm and was 50% effaced on my own, but that took almost 2 weeks. I had labor induced by pitocin with all 3 labors and the pain was more intense with each subsequent labor and delivery. With each one, I tried walking and sex and neither of them worked. Is there anything else that can get labor going? I would like to be able to labor at home for a while this time, instead of being in labor for 17 hours at the hospital. It was not comfortable.
I forgot to add that I have tried nipple stimulation and I will not try castor oil. My grandmother said it will make me very sick.

i am 36 weeks pregnant and my Doctor has scheduled me for induction next friday if i don’t go into labor and then if that don’t work i have to have a C-section i am really not wanting either, is there a way to induce my labor so i don’t have to be induced by the Doctor? and before you guys ask i fell and have been having contractions since and my fall could have hurt my baby, that’s why they are doing this so soon.
i fell, when i did i went into preterm babor, they got rid of the contractions but the babys heart beat is very faint so they are worried. it is unusual i was like WHAT!?! when they told me but they explained alot better, its the docters and i guess they know whats best
i do appriciate the concern but i dont want something that i have to take pills with or anything like that, jsut not my thing when i say natural i meant natural, like teas, and stuff like that
